What’s included in the booking Package?

Weddings include a 2 or 3 day booking package. Non-Wedding events include one day booking. Here you will find more information about our packages

What time can we access the building?

Accepted Answer

Booking times vary based on your event type. Below are the booking times for our different packages: 
Wedding - 2 Day:
·         Setup (Friday): 10:00am - 9:00pm
·         Wedding (Saturday): 8:00am - 1:00am *all patrons & belongings must be removed by 1:00am or additional fees may apply
Wedding - 3 Day:
·         Setup (Friday): 10:00am - 9:00pm
·         Wedding (Saturday): 8:00am - 1:00am
·         Tear Down (Sunday): 8:00am - 5:00pm *all patrons & belongings must be removed by 5:00pm or additional fees may apply
Non-Wedding:
Weekday (Monday - Thursday): 7:00am - 7:00pm
Weekend (Friday - Sunday): 8:00am - 11:00pm

Question 3

Can I bring in my own food and/or caterer?

Yes, external caterers of your choice are welcome. Although we do not have a preferred vendor list, we are happy to share recommendations. Cooking is not permitted in the kitchen. Food trucks & outdoor BBQs are permitted. Serving utensils, dishes, linens, catering carts. etc. are not included with your rental.

Can I serve alcohol at my event?

Yes, alcohol may be served within the building with a valid SOP (Special Occasion Permit). Open alcohol is not permitted outdoors or in any open space within the park. Click Here for more information about SOPs {Insert website link}

Question 5

Are tables & Chairs included with my rental?

Accepted Answer

Yes, your rental includes seating for 150 people indoors and 150 outdoors. The following furniture is included with your rental:
·         20 Round Tables (60" diameter)
·         9 Rectangular Tables: 6 (6ft long x 30" wide) and 3 (8ft long x 30" wide)
·         150 Indoor Chairs
·         150 Outdoor Garden Chairs
Staff assistance is not provided during setup of furniture or decorations. Group is responsible for setting up and taking down the furniture for your event.

Are any decorations included?

Decorations are not included with your rental and we welcome you to bring in a decorator of your choice or complete DIY decorations. We ask you respect the building by using permitted decorations only. A full list of permitted & prohibited decorations are outlined in our event package {include link to PDF Event Booking Package} Staff assistance and equipment is not provided for decorating.

Does the building have Heating & A/C?

The building is equipped with two natural gas fireplaces. Each fireplace has a remote to control the temperature of the fireplace. The building is not equipped with A/C, however there are multiple ceiling fans which can be controlled by a switch. There are two large glass garage doors which can be opened to allow for more airflow within the building.

What is your smoking/vaping policy?

Smoking & vaping are only permitted in the designated smoking areas. Smoking is not permitted inside any buildings.

Is event liability insurance required?

Accepted Answer

Yes, Liability insurance/special event insurance of $5 million is required for all events taking place in the Watson Porter Pavilion. Insurance must co-insure Upper Thames River Conservation Authority.

Question 10

Do I need to clean the building?

Accepted Answer

Our team will clean the building for you prior to your arrival. We ask you leave the building in the state you received it in. At the end of your rental, we ask you remove all your belongings, gather all garbage bags and place them in the kitchen and leave the building in a clean and undamaged state. Additional cleaning is not required - such as cleaning sweeping and mopping. If the building is left in poor condition (such as damages or excessive cleaning required) additional charges may apply.

Is there Wi-Fi available?

Yes, complimentary wi-fi is available inside the building.

Do you have any Audio Visual Equipment?

Accepted Answer

At this time A/V is not included in the building. Please make your own arrangements as needed.

Are pets welcome?

Accepted Answer

On-leash animals are permitted in the outdoor areas of park only. Animals are not permitted inside the building, with the exception of service animals.

Question 14

What Transportation options available?

Accepted Answer

Taxi and designated driving services are permitted inside the park. Public transit (LTC bus) does not provide service within the park.

Is the building Accessible?

Accepted Answer

At this time the building is not fully accessible. For your convenience, automatic door openers are available. If you require additional accessibility, please contact us for alternative arrangements.

Question 16

What is the cancellation policy?

Accepted Answer

A non-refundable 50% deposit is required at the time of bookings. Bookings canceled more than 60 days prior to your event are subject to a 50% refund. Bookings canceled less than 30 days in advance are not eligible for a refund.
